This paper addresses the problem of the autonomous on-board execution of the higherrnmission critical functions of Uninhabited Combat Air Vehicle – UCAV. In order to achievernhigh autonomous operation throughout the most critical portions of the UCAV's missionrncycle, both platform related functions as well as mission related functions has to be automatedrnand autonomously managed. The UCAV's onboard Autonomous Mission Controller - AMC isrndesigned to handle these aspects, namely, to manage and to execute both the platform relatedrnfunctions, as well as the more complex mission critical functions. The related AMC'srnprocesses and the associated methods are described and discussed in the paper.
