Quality Improvement Via Quality Costs

A Quality Cost System has been fully implemented and in continuous use at Allegheny Ludlum for over thirty years. The system has formed the basis of institutionalized annual quality improvement programs, and management compensation has been tied to performances vs annual improvement goals over this same period. This paper presents an overview of the Allegheny Ludlum Quality Cost System.
