PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust and improve an image quality so as to be approximate to an original video image from the viewpoint of a feature amount of a video image.SOLUTION: An image quality improvement system 1 includes: a video analysis device 10 which transmits or stores an input video signal and auxiliary information; and an image quality improvement device 40 which acquires the input video signal and the auxiliary information and improves an image quality of the acquired input video signal. The video analysis device 10 includes a transmission video analysis part 12 which calculates a first feature amount representing features of the input video signal as the auxiliary information. The image quality improvement device 40 includes: a post-processing part 41 which performs a plurality of image processes on the acquired input video signal while changing a parameter or processing and generates a plurality of post-processing video signals; a reception video analysis part 42 which calculates a second feature amount representing features of the post-processing video signal; and an optimization part 43 which outputs the post-processing video signal having the second feature amount which minimizes a differential from the first feature amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
