Eddy current array probe technology can be applied to a wide variety of simple and complex shape parts. This technology is due to rapid signal processing with digital eddy current equipment. Virtually any coil configuration and shape can be configured to work with array coil technology. Since traditional eddy current coils are utilized, sensitivity is not sacrificed. Inspection speed is substantially increased due to additional coils being used to inspect the part. In some cases, several single coil passes are replaced by one array coil pass. For manufacturing, this can improve through put dramatically. Simple solutions to otherwise complex inspections are now possible providing savings of both time and money.
