This paper discusses PDF and stochastic modelling oftwo-phase ows. The issue is addressed from the point ofview of consistency. The Kinetic Equation and LangevinEquation models are discussed. It is shown that the Kine-tic model is retrieved by integration over the extra variablethat appears in the Langevin model. A proposal is made toextend PDF modelling to the two phases (uid and solid)at the same time and a particular form is developed.
