DYNAMICS OF A VIBRATORY FEEDER

摘要

The most common devices used to feed small parts in anautomatic assembly framework are vibratory feeders. They areused to store, feed, orientate and isolate the parts. Due to thecomplex mechanics of the feeding process the design of the feed-ers is still depending on trial and error. This paper presentsa complete dynamical model of the transportation process in-cluding unilateral constraints and multiple impacts, both withcoulomb friction. Some simulation results, computed with athree dimensional model, explain the practical benet of the pro-posed tool.
