In this work turbocharging was used as an acceptable method to improve power loss in NG mode of a bi-fuel engine. Calculation of required boost ratio could be done either by thermodynamics relations or 1D simulation. Both of them have very good accuracy to predict required boost ratio to retrieve loss power. In experimental investigations a bi-fuel engine was tested with turbocharger and controlled waste gate and there was good agreement between experiences and calculations. There are some limits which do not permit to employ turbocharger on a bi-fuel engine with its entire boost ratio. Some of thermal and mechanical reasons which limit the boost ratio of turbocharching expressed here but more investigations should be conducted to solve these problems.
