THE RESEARCH AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TIME MANAGEMENT SERVICES IN DISTRIBUTED SIMULATION SYSTEM

The paper investigates the time management(TM) in distributed simulation system. The paper puts forward the purpose of TM and the problems that will be solved. The TM implementation mechanism in HLA/RTI is discussed. The design and implementations for the mechanism of messages transportation are given. The paper discusses deeply the TM algorithm. including the Conservative synchronization, Optimistic synchronization in parallel discrete event simulation and TM in HLA. Then the key technology of software implementation is studied. These technologies include the whole structure of AST_RTI, the implementation of multithread, the optimized LBTS algorithm, the effective data structure design and memory management. These algorithms and software implementation are given. This study and implementation was used in TM in self-developed AST_RTI. The application showed the design and algorithm had improved the RTI running performance effectively.
