A facile approach was proposed to control the morphology of polypyrrole(PPy) on the graphite oxide in the presence of a cationic surfactant(CTAB) by in situ emulsion polymerization.. No interactions PPy and GO surfaces are revealed by UV-vis and XPS. SEM further confirms that graphene is well encapsulated with PPy, and a uniform appearance is formed. The increasing crystallinity of PPY-coated graphite is discussed by XRD. The inside morphology of the composites is given by TEM, the polymerization happen between the layers of GO.The product is also characterized by TG. The final product would be used as electrode materials.
