ONS Index: A Method for Accelerating the Query of Information Service in Simulation Grid

As the environment and platform of Simulation Grid, Grid has a great effect on system efficiency. In a Grid system, which can supply with all kinds of Resources, the work of resource searching is a necessary step of utilizing Grid Resources and is an important time-consumer in the whole workflow. This paper introduces a new kind of index - ONS Index, to speedup the query operation in Grid Information Service, which is in charge of searching appropriate resource for Simulation Grid users. ONS Index is a kind of index designed specially for Grid Information Service; it matches the characteristic of the data in Grid Information Service and the user's query requirement. Further more, we have given a method to optimize the efficiency of ONS Index by computing result intersection with DFS strategy.
