Cooperative wind: how co-ops and advocates expanded wind power in minnesota

This paper describes a collaborative effort between a group of rural electric co-operatives and renewable energy advocates that resulted in a renewable energy offering to the co-op's members. It analyzes the opportunities, barriers and key players involved in the project and how it progressed from an idea to a successful reality. It then highlights what the participants learned from the experience and suggests how similar projects can be organized in other states.
