The Multi-axial Warp knitted fabric is a useful reinforcement for composite. Highermechanical performance resulted from no crimp of fiber bundle is achieved compared withthe general textile composites. For the fiber bundle of multi-axial warp knitted fabric, onlyone type of reinforcement fiber among glass, carbon fiber bundle, and so on has beenselected. Mechanical properties and production cost of multi-axial warp knitted fabriccomposite depend on feature of the fiber bundle. In order to extend the applicability ofcomposite, concept of 'fiber hybrid composite' was applied into the multi-axial warp knittedfabric composite. Two kinds of fiber bundle, Carbon and Glass, were used in 0/90 multi-axialwarp knitted fabric. Two types of hybrid composite were investigated; inter-layer hybridcomposite in which each layer was fabricated by different fiber bundle and intra-layer hybridcomposite in which different fiber bundle was used in one layer. The mechanical propertiesof composites were investigated by using tensile test. As a result of tensile test, tensilemodulus and strength of inter-layer fiber hybrid composite were the highest value in allspecimens, therefore the potency of inter-layer fiber hybrid composite was confirmed.
