Clinical radiation therapy continues to evolve, with modern equipment offering rotating radiation sources, conformal collimators, inverse treatment planning, image guidance and verification, and motion compensation. In tandem, molecular imaging strategies are emerging that offer the potential to noninvasively localize and quantify specific physiologic, functional, and molecular information.
