摘要

A theoretical analysis concerning the effect of asymmetric structure of pores on the electrokinetic relationships across it was studied. Correction factors were established for modifying the electrokinetic equations based on Helmholtz-Smochulowski model to the one-layer membrane having pores with radius varied linearly along the axial direction and an overlap of electric double layer within the pore. In addition, the electrokinetic behaviors across the cake-membrane combined in series were investigated. The effect of physiochemical properties of each layer on its contribution to the global electrokinetics of the two-layer media was also discussed.
