ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECTS OF THE MOTORWAY D8 PRAGUE-DRESDEN CONSTRUCTION PASSING THROUGH PROTECTED LANDSCAPE AREAS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Implementation of a transport-related project in an area which is protected, no matter by what means it is done, is one of the most complicated actions in the sphere of contemporary capital construction. Underground route sections (driven or cut-and-cover) are often the only solution how to comply with the rightful requirements for environmental protection. The planning of a motorway project in a northern region of the Czech Republic has demonstrated the complexity of this problem and its wideness.
