Decorative/Protective Electrophoretic Coatings-An Environmentally Friendly Alternative To Electroplating Other Finishes

This paper describes a range of commercial processes that have many advantages over current technology. They are non-polluting, less expensive, faster, user-friendly, and give technically superior finishes in clear coatings, brass, gold, antique, matte or gloss, and opaque, paint-like finishes. Capital equipment costs are very modest. Simplicity means in-house processing for companies that have never had metal finishing proesses. Plants can be from 200 litres to 20,000 litres. Small units are highly productive because process times are so short. More than 1000 plants are operating worldwide, evidence of a proven technology.
