摘要

The present paper presents a new κ-ε. turbulence model for low Reynolds number flows. The model takes into account the asymptotic behaviour of different variables near the wall and for the free turbulence. For the apparent turbulent viscosity and for the turbulent dissipation rate equation, the Kolmogorov turbulent scale, as a lower limit for the time scale, is introduced. The model is used to calculate bidimcnsional boundary layer and channel flows. The results are compared with the available experimental and the direct Navicr-Stokcs simulation data. The accuracy of the predicted by the present model results is very good.
