REMODELING METHOD FOR EXISTING REYNOLD TYPE PRESSURE CONTROLLER

PURPOSE:To improve the safety with a simple remodeling method and without deteriorating the merits of an existing Reynold type pressure controller, by adding a pilot governor. CONSTITUTION:The elements are deleted excluding a main body pipeline part A, a main valve 1 and a part 2a' of a stem. Then an actuator 14 containing a diaphragm 12 and a spring 13 which energizes the valve 1 toward its closing direction is attached to the part 2a' via a stem part 2b. A driving pressure feeding pipe 17 of a pilot governor 16 is connected to a chamber 15a at one side of the actuator 14, and at the same time an operation mechanism 18 is added to release the energizing power of the spring 13. While a secondary feed pipe 20 containing a switch valve 19 is provided covering a chamber 15b at the other side of the actuator 14 and the secondary part (b) of the part A. In such a way, the safety is improved for an existing Reynold type pressure controller with a simple remodeling method without deteriorating the merits of said Reynold type controller.
