In sexual intergeneric hybrids between the six cultivated Brassica species and Orychophragmus violaceus, the possible occurrence of both complete and partial separation of the parental genomes during mitosis and meiosis has been proposed and the interrelationships among the cytogenetics of these hybrids have been shown. To confirm and further elucidate the findings above and the subsequent production of Brassica aneuploids and homozygous plants, these hybrids and their progenies were subjected to molecular cytogenetic analysis of genomic in situ hybridization.
