This paper introduces commonly used methods of underwater cutting, such as flamerncutting, plasma arc cutting, high-pressure water jet cutting, explosion cutting,rnmechanical cutting, ect, and their working principles, characteristics, processing objects,rnworking conditions, technical maturity as well as current status of developments. Usingrnthese methods for cutting undersea oil pipeline the subject of this composite material, isrnvery difficult, even if the completion of cutting, efficiency is very low. We developedrnthe use of underwater diamond saw which can be brought to effectively cutting oilrnpipeline, the technology for underwater cutting operations providing a new method ofrncutting. At the same time, the composition and working principle of this machine, andrnthe working process of the main components is analyzed. Diamond cutting tools andrncutting oil pipeline single-object structure, analysis of the rope saw the work of the mainrncomponents of the process. By comparative experiments, it has been verified that thernmachine can effectively cut the oil pipeline, steel materials and reinforced concrete.
