In the conditions of north of Tsenralno-Chemozemny region (Orel region) 18 variety samples of genetic collection of proso millet were investigated for content of protein; genetically caused distinctions of varieties and half isogenic lines of millet on DNA-markers which reflect connection between elements of efficiency and accumulation of protein and are basis of effective selection of valuable varieties with high content of protein were revealed.
