摘要

An essential part of studies for future teachers of computer science is development of the student's ability to think algorithmically. Students must be able to create various algorithms in order to solve given problems, starting with easy ones and consecutively increasing the difficulty of their algorithmic knowledge until they deeply understand much more complex algorithms. An important part of future teacher education is also teaching them with an emphasis on interdisciplinary learning.rnIn this paper we introduce our method of developing algorithmic thinking in students at the beginning of their studies and describe a case study which illustrates step by step modeling of a real situation as a suitable example of algorithmic thinking development and also of interdisciplinary learning.
