The experimental results and the analytical modelling of bond between FRP reinforcing bars and concrete are discussed herein. A large number of experimental bond tests is analyzed to better understand the influence on the bond performances of properties of the outer surface. Furthermore, a bond-slip analytical relationship based on a modification of the Bertero-Popov-Eligehausen model (B.E.P. Model), already used for steel, is proposed in order to model FRP-concrete bond. The main parameters that define the above-mentioned model are evaluated to obtain a correlation with the outer surface characteristics. Finally, some considerations are discussed about the influence of bond strength on the anchorage length of FRP rebars.
