Abstract: The transitional response of filters such as the Besselcan be realized in closed loop servo systems withoutdependence on pole zero cancellation or step commandshaping. This paper presents the theory by example of astraightforward design method for emulating a Besselstep response in a closed loop servo system. Designmethods presented here are applicable for adapting mostpolynomial filter equations. !2
