Two treatments of whole crop rice silage (WCRS) were prepared for a feeding test i. e. ; non supplement (control-WCRS) , and treatment with added fermented juice of epiphytic lactic acid (FJLB) and amino acid fermentation by-product (AFB) to WCRS (experimental-WCRS). By additions of FJLB and AFB, good fermented silage was made with lower pH and higher lactic acid content at both stages of WCRS. In a feeding test using beef cattle fed WCRS at the full-ripe stage, the digestibility of crude protein and nitrogen free extract, and total digestible nutrients were significantly higher (P <0.05) in experimental-WCRS than in control-WCRS.
