515 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant at Hazira - An Ipp in India

Hazira 515 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in the State of Gujarat (India) is the first Independent Power Project to be commissioned (330 MW in the open cycle) after the Government of India's (GOI) liberalisation of the Power Sector in 1992. This project is unique and is one of the largest gas turbine Plants operating on Naphtha/NGL and dispatches power to a Steel Plant and the State Grid. The combined cycle portion adding another 185 MW is expected to be in operation by December 1996.
