Computing Industry Maturity

摘要

This paper examines the issues surrounding the belief that the computer industry and its related disciplines are maturing and turning out ever increasingly beneficial technologies. A comparison between software development toolsets and hand tools used in the manufacturing industry is given. A discussion then tries to illuminate some of the myths held in our field.
