The increase in performance of multi and hyperspectral systems requires better calibration techniques. A sophisticated calibration facility has been developed explicitly for evaluating high performance multi and hyperspectral systems. It is useful for inter comparison of different systems suitable for the wide variety of applications. Performance of CCD cameras at low light levels for narrow bandwidth require reductions in noise, increase in quantum efficiency.rnIn this paper we present results of calibration of specifically designed setup, measurement methods of signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR), quantum efficiency, relative power, read-out noise sensitivity of the camera at low level conditionsrnThis new approach for the evaluation of high performance multi and hyperspectral sensors is particularly useful for inter comparison of different types of systems suitable for the wide variety of multi spectral applications.
