Fault detection, isolation, and recovery are some of the most critical activities in which astronauts and flight controllers participate. An agent-oriented diagnosis system has been built using JACK, an agent-oriented programming language. An important feature being added is a system-activity tracking mechanism that allows the user to observe what the agent system is doing. This mechanism is then generalized for all JACK agent systems. By using AspectJ, an aspect-oriented tool, a plug-and-playable tracking system can be built that can add the capability to track the activity of the system to any JACK agent system easily.
