Experiments were designed to investigate the effects of Reynolds number and mass flow ratio on the discharge coefficient, pressure distribution and heat transfer coefficient in channel with rib turbulators and double-row bleed holes. The experimental channel is rectangular and the aspect ratio is 2.5:1. 90 °ribs were mounted in a staggered arrangement on tow opposite wall and double-row bleed holes were opened in one ribbed wall. The Reynolds numbers range from 30000 to150000. The mass flow ratios are between 0.09 and 0.22. The transient liquid crystal technique was applied to measure the detailed heat transfer coefficient distribution between two ribs in the wall with bleed holes. The paper presents detailed measurement results of the flow characteristic and of the heat transfer distribution between two ribs inside the channel, and describes how the Reynolds numbers and flow ratio influence the flow characteristic along the channel and heat transfer distribution between two neighboring ribs.
