摘要

The selective hydrogenation of α- β unsaturated aldehydes into the corresponding unsaturated alcohols shows not only an enormous challenge to the industrial expense's but also to the research and technological development. In this context, particularly in the fine chemical industries, the production and application of metal catalysts in heterogeneous catalysis compose one of the most important activities. Thus, alumina and titania supported Ru (monometallic) and Ru-Sn (bimetallic) catalysts were synthetized by the impregnation with excess of solvent method. The whole catalysts were characterized by Temperature Programmed Reduction (TPR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Thermo Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Surface Area (B.E.T.), Pore Volume and Mean Pore Diameter.
