Organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) based onrnsemiconducting polymer have been fabricated usingrnan organic patterning methodology. Laser assistedrnlift-off (LALO) technique, ablating selectively thernhydrophobic layer by an excimer laser, was used forrnproducing a semiconducting polymer channel in thernOTFT with high resolution. The selective wettabilityrnof a semiconducting polymer, poly (9-9-rndioctylfluorene-co-bithiophene) (F8T2), dissolved inrnpolar solvent was found to define precisely thernpattering resolution of the active channel. It isrndemonstrated that in the F8T2 TFTs fabricated usingrnthe LALO technique and is applicable for the largerrnarea display.
