The manufacturing of Premium Class-A Parts depends on one hand on the material quality and on the other hand on the manufacturing process. The process itself can just build on the material quality which is being fed into the process. In order to minimize impact of material storage, material handling and dosing on the product's quality a fully automated manufacturing will be introduced in this paper. The process will be described by the manufacturing of the new Volkswagen hatchback. An outlook will be given regarding future developments in the field of SMC and its advancements.
