Since 1993, CRIEPI and all Japanese utilities having fossil power plants have participated in thern"EPRI-organized International Collaboration on Steam,Chemistry and Corrosion in Phase TransitionrnZones of Power Plant Steam Turbines".rnThe objective of this study is to obtain the better understandings concerning the deposition andrnconcentration behavior of extreamly small amount of corrosive chemicals in the power plant steamrnby tests using power plant LP steam turbines. Thereby, the corrosive environment in power plants'rnsteam turbines will be estimated and defined.rnEPRI is now producing the final report of this International Collaborative Work , in cooperationrnwith the participating members.rnIn this paper, the outline of the program and main results on this International CollaborationrnStudy is described, and are also reviewed the corrosion problems induced mainly by the chemicalsrnwhich are deposited and concentrated on steam turbine components from the turbine steam.
