Students' Professional Orientations in the Different Two Programs of Architectural Major

摘要

In two architecture programs, the Architecture Course and the Environmental Design Course in Kinki Univ., Japan, a thesis or an architectural design is assigned to each student as his/her graduation work. The Architecture Course has an engineer-oriented curriculum and the Environmental Design Course has an architect-oriented and graphics-oriented curriculum. When students of these courses carry out the graduation works, they are led by the same instructor of Department of Architecture. After analyzing the results of students' graduation works, there is no significant difference in selection of a theme and in expression of contents between students of two courses. It suggests that the difference of contents in two curricula affects students' professional orientation little.
