Under the slogan "Studying means Patriotism" over the last 25 years, the educational development of Lao P.D.R. (hereafter Laos) has been effected the educational development from the nursery level to the college level. The reformation of education was largely implemented in the year 1995, and it has also caused great changes to the education at the field of architecture. The main objective of this paper is to sum up and examine the current situation of geometry and graphics education, which is the fundamental knowledge for architectural education, in order to prepare Laos for the further international standard of architectural education. The results of this paper are; The educational system of Laos is different in its study-years of a primary school from the ones of the most member countries in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (hereafter ASEAN); Transferring the educational system in architecture field in 1996 has not occurred any particular changes about study-hours or the number of courses in geometry and graphics education so far. It turns out that a solid figure is treated as projective geometry in Laos in an upper secondary school in Laos, and this experience makes students majoring in architecture easy to understand more complicated graphics. The one-year short in a primary school of Laos gives few disadvantages to learn the fundamental knowledge on graphics.
