The Principle and Design of Model for SMS Content Provision Service

The main objective of this paper is to discuss a set of schemes that are viable for the realization of SMS content provision service. First of all this paper introduces the background and development prospect of Short Message Service (SMS). Nowadays SMS is no longer the mere communication between mobile telephones, it can also send information from the Internet Content Providers (ICP) to the mobile phones and vice versa. Afterwards, this paper set an example of a mobile communication corporation to illustrate the working procedure of how an ICP provides short message contents. The content server of the ICP is connected to the Internet Short Message Gateway (ISMG) of the Mobile Communication Service Provider. The server communicates with ISMG by employing the Protocol assigned by the Mobile Communication Service Provider. This paper introduces one of the communication Protocols-CMPP (China Mobile Peer to Peer). In the end, a practicable service model is put forward. There are two layers within this model: the lower layer of data communication protocol and the upper layer of operation logic transact. The authors have accomplished a practicable short message system ground on the model brought forward in this paper.
