Study of Auto-testing to Radar Angular Tracking Characteristics

Angle tracking characteristics is an important parameter of the fire-control radar. The traditional method is to test in frequency domain and then to evaluate the radar's tracking characteristics through testing the relationship of the antenna's swinging amplitude and the frequency when tracking targets. In this paper we mainly study the time domain test method of the radar's tracking characteristics. Based on the analysis of the radar angle tracking characteristic's test principles, we design an automatic test system of radar angle tracking characteristics and present the system's architecture, operating principle, the test process and the calculating method of the test result.
