Tracking radar angular resolution improvement, involves determining angular values of signal's zero crossings, and calculating angular positions of echoes between crossings by adding and subtracting half of signal's width
The method involves determining the width of a signal delivered by a processing computer (11). Angular values of two zero crossings of the signal are determined. Angular positions (alpha 1, alpha 2) of two eventual echoes between the zero crossings are calculated, respectively by adding and subtracting half of the width of the signal to the angular positions of the eventual echoes. An independent claim is also included for a tracking radar comprising a rotative antenna with an angular scanning.
