摘要

Transportation of dangerous goods is a highly dynamic process, exhibiting strong spatial dependences. New ways of looking into the overall risk assessment of transportation of dangerous goods by means of the information technology e.g. Decision Support Systems (DSS), jointly with expert knowledge and engineering characterization of the technological process, promise to bring more adequate solutions to risk estimation and representation. The present paper is addressing the use of the quantitative accident sequence analysis concerning the potential loss of containment (LOC) owing to derailment and collision during the technological process of the railroad transportation of dangerous goods by full use of DSS.
