摘要

In this research work, object-oriented modeling approach is employed to construct the plant model that encompasses the plant lifecycle activities using object-oriented CASE tool ("Objecteering~(TM)") on the basis of UML as a unified modeling language. A plant modeling system architecture has been proposed as a standard structure for plants to exchange and utilize the central plant model from within all components and systems of the plant lifecycle. The metamodeling technique is used to inherit plant object's characteristics from the base classes to the plant objects enabling the efficient representation of the process safety requirements. Object Constraint Language (OCL) has been validated to represent the process safety restrictions on the class/object level, which enables the automatic generation of the safety constraints while the development of the process safety systems.
