The importance of optimum drying cylinder performance cannot be overstated. The main theme of this paper reflects our belief that ongoing preventative and remedial maintenance should be directed at the root cause of any problems, rather than the symptoms. The ability to achieve this is dependent on the availability of appropriate diagnostic equipment and experience and a comprehensive range of specialized service equipment whilst recognizing the importance of environmental and safety considerations.
