MIXED NOISE REDUCTION

For real images corrupted by noise, the noise usually does not follow the gaussian model -rnfor which filtering techniques such as Wiener filtering or wavelet reduction coefficients are efficient –rnor the impulse salt and pepper noise - for which statistical order filters are suitable. There is arnconsiderable amount of literature about image denoising using wavelet-based methods. Wernimplemented different noise removal algorithms in the wavelet domain. We also proposed a new filterrnand we compared its performance in terms of PSNR with some efficient known denoising methods.
