This paper presents the development and application of artificial nerve network technology. It reports on some research work in the application of the Bp network in the optimization of port cargo handling technology. The conclusion is drawn that the application of artificial nerve network technology in combination with fuzziness technology can not only offer a scientific basis to the choice among existing cargo handling technology options but also provide a new way of thinking and a new approach to the demonstration of new technology options.
