; We came up with two general strategies, which can also be combined complementary: intensifying program and programming space. Intensifying program means looking at the given programmatic aspects of a habitat and carefully investigating their potential by drawing new program-relevant themes from it. Programming space deals with the environment of a celestial body using its potential to generate new programs for habitats; for example an experimental greenhouse which uses the CO_2 in the Martian atmosphere for growing biomass. The theoretical concepts mentioned above combined with the students' creativity produced a large variety of different innovative design layouts for planetary outposts. We are hoping to continue with space architecture in more detail, investigating materials, structures and other technical or scientific aspects.
