PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for deriving new concepts from information about an existing structure.;SOLUTION: A concept design support device includes: a system with characteristics matching a plurality of limiting elements; a sampling generation means for generating a plurality of samplings that are combinations of the limiting elements of the system and the characteristics; a hierarchical clustering means for hierarchically clustering the samplings according to the similarities of the characteristics; a comparison means for comparing the limiting elements of the clustered clusters between the same hierarchies and/or different hierarchies; and an extraction means for extracting, from the limiting elements, the limiting elements shared among the clusters and/or the limiting elements not shared among the clusters, based on the result of comparison by the comparison means.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
