Advanced manufacturing technology: strategic and operational change for small-and-medium-sized manufacturing firms (SMEs)

Local companies are encouraged and exhorted to utilise advanced manufacturing technology (AMT) with the ultimate objective of achieving complete integration in manufacturing. In the wake of this development, this paper discusses a study of the factors that influence the acquisition of AMT by some local SMEs as a change process for enhancing strategic and operating performance.
