To eliminate or dramatically reduce the pollutants during leather making processes, is the fundmental way of solving environment protection problems. This paper presents us a new chrome tanning processes with combining the idea of Mannich reaction to modify the collagen of hide, shaving prior to tannage, less amount of chrome addition as well as chrome crosslinking tannage. The problem of unused chrome in residual floats is more or less completely removed, and the quality of the leather is in no way affected by using this new chrome tanning processes system.
