The Use of EDT Textured Rolls in a Wide Range of Applications

This paper has described the use of EDT for the preparation of work rolls for some important applications in the production of high quality textured sheet. Most of the applications described were once traditionally produced with the grit blast process. These are now being replaced with EDT. Where EDT has replaced grit blast, the high degree of control and reproducibility of quality is fast becoming the norm for all grades of steel. This trend is seen both in the USA and other countries around the world.
