From the results obtained the following conclusions can be drawn: 1. Radial Forging increases the mechanical properties of AISI L6 tool steel at different amounts of strain. Higher strain gives better mechanical properties but after a certain strain level, the change in such properties is not significant. 2. In all cross sections, the mechanical properties of ESR products are higher than the conventional ones. 3. The mechanical properties are different at different depths from the surface of products in both ESR and conventional products. In general, the mechanical properties are better toward the surface. For smaller cross sections, this difference in the properties degrades and in a certain strain level, the mechanical properties will be almost uniform in the whole cross section. 4. Macrosegregation exists in both ESR and conventional ingots, but the amount of macrosegregation is much higher in the conventional ones. 5. The results from this research demonstrate that, in Radial Forging, ESR products have much better mechanical properties than the conventional ones.
